John Williams Composes New Red Sox Song ‘Fanfare for Fenway’ With Help From Boston Pops Orchestra
Bah! Bobb Trimble gets jobbed again. John Williams, a renowned composer and Red Sox fan, composed and conducted a song to embody and honor the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park in 2012. The song is called “Fanfare for Fenway.” The Boston Pops Orchestra performed a recording on Saturday, March 24 at Boston’s Symphony Hall. The track is about three minutes in length. Williams has created medleys to go along with the 2005 and 2008 Opening Day ceremony videos that honored World Series-winning teams.
